Tiimo is a visual daily planner built for every neurotype. It focuses on routines and gentle transitions between activities, and includes an AI co-planner that breaks overwhelming tasks into manageable steps. Neurodivergent and neurotypical users rely on it alike.

A PERSONAL MISSION

Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari co-founded Tiimo while studying at the IT University of Copenhagen. The idea came from a research project on how technology could support neurodivergent teens. When Melissa was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, the mission became personal.

MAINSTREAM VALIDATION

Tiimo is now an award-winning app with millions of downloads and a global user base. Apple named it iPhone App of the Year 2025, a year after it was a finalist for the Apple Design Award. It has become a leading voice in inclusive tech and a daily planning essential for people who never felt seen by traditional systems.

“In just over three years, Jolt has moved from lab-scale development to full commercial production - something rarely seen in deep tech. Our electrodes are already in use by customers such as Ansaldo Energia and other industrial partners, helping them make their processes greener, more efficient, and less dependent on scarce raw materials.”

THE INVESTMENT

Crowberry Capital, based in Iceland, and People Ventures, based in Denmark, co-led Tiimo's €3 million seed round in 2022. Goodwater Capital, Divergent Investments and angel investors from the Vivino and Kahoot! founder circles took part. Inner Foundation joined as an investor in 2024. Tiimo has received $4.8 million in venture funding to date.

DESIGNING FOR SOME, WORKING FOR ALL

Since its first venture investment, Tiimo has shown that designing for neurodivergent people produces tools that work better for everyone. The seed round paid for hiring across development and design and for work on performance, customization and reach across iOS, Android and web. Growth has come mostly through word of mouth and community partnerships.

PART OF A LARGER TREND

Tiimo is one of the most visible examples of Nordic startups leading in inclusive and wellbeing-focused tech. Awareness of adult ADHD and autism is growing, and attention spans are under pressure. Tools that help people reset their focus, build positive habits and complete essential tasks are in demand.
