Myota is a London-based company that develops patented prebiotic fibre blends designed to enhance gut health. It sells them directly to consumers and as ingredients to food and drink businesses. It was founded by Thomas Gurry, a computational biologist and microbiome scientist, and Kat Stennett, who is Co-Founder and CEO.
SCIENCE FIRST, THEN THE PRODUCT
Most gut health products lean on one or two commodity fibres. Myota took a different route. Its blends come from proprietary research on how different fibres ferment in different gut microbiomes. The aim is to produce short-chain fatty acids reliably across very different people, while limiting the discomfort that high-fibre products often cause. The company has completed seven clinical trials so far, with more under way.
THE INVESTMENT
PeakBridge first invested in Myota in 2025, with an initial €0.2 million in an early round ahead of the Series A. It has since invested €3.2 million in total across rounds and led the Series A. FoodLabs is a notable investor alongside PeakBridge. The company's latest round carries a post-money valuation of €15 million, and the position is held at 1.0x, unrealized. Myota has raised €6.6 million in total.
GROWTH SINCE THE INVESTMENT
The numbers moved quickly. In the first half of 2026, revenue is up 155% year to date against the same period a year earlier, and new customers are up 207%. Public coverage points the same way. Myota's UK direct-to-consumer business tripled last year and passed 60,000 customers. On the B2B side, the company launched a global partnership with Joe & The Juice, signed supply agreements with a fast-growing coffee alternative brand, and secured distribution deals with Suannutra and Denava that now cover the UK, US and EU.
