TWENTY YEARS IN THE MAKING
Holyvolt AB was founded in Sweden in 2022, but its core technology draws on more than two decades of prior research into nanopaste development and screen-printing manufacturing. That head start is part of why a company still early in its commercial life can already point to a granted patent and paying industrial partners rather than just a lab prototype.
THE INVESTMENT
Course Corrected VC Fund I AB made its first investment in Holyvolt in 2022 at pre-seed, contributing €0.5 million, and has since invested €3 million in total across rounds. The company remains in the fund's portfolio. Its latest round values Holyvolt at €220 million, marking the fund's position at a 4.84x multiple, unrealized. Notable co-investors in later rounds include Volvo and FAM, the Wallenberg family's investment vehicle. Holyvolt has raised €76 million in total capital to date.
MOMENTUM SINCE THE FUND'S LAST MARK
In early February 2026, Impact Loop reported that Holyvolt had raised €12 million at a €182 million valuation, alongside a newly surfaced patent detailing the company's screen-printed, solid-state battery technology. The following month, Holyvolt announced the acquisition of US-based Wildcat Discovery Technologies, a battery materials discovery company, following what was described as a recent €20 million funding round; the deal is intended to shorten the path from laboratory battery breakthroughs to industrial production and to strengthen battery supply chains in Europe and North America. Holyvolt also brought on Gwen Sandberg as Chief Commercial Officer around this period, to lead its commercial expansion into the US market.
