Holidu is a European holiday rental platform. The company is based in Germany and was founded in 2014. Claret Capital Partners has financed its growth since 2021.

TWO BROTHERS FROM MUNICH
Johannes Siebers (CEO) and Michael Siebers (CTO) co-founded Holidu in 2014 in Munich. The idea began with a frustrating search for a holiday rental for a surf trip to Portugal. Michael Siebers has said the pair believe in the power of technology and data, and that by connecting the two almost any problem can be solved.
ONE BRAND FOR GUESTS AND HOSTS
On 29 November 2023 Holidu merged its host brand Bookiply into the Holidu name. The booking portal and the host websites became one online presence, and the software and services for owners moved under the Holidu brand. At the time the company counted more than 500 employees at 23 locations in Europe and more than 100 million users a year on its booking portal. In June 2025, Holidu made its eighth acquisition, buying Cybevasion, which operates the French portals gites.fr and chambres-hotes.fr. Its earlier acquisitions include the vacation rental platform Spain-Holiday.
THE FINANCING
Claret made its first investment through the funds it manages in 2021 with €5 million and has invested €60 million across all rounds, including a €35m facility committed in late 2025. In October 2022, Holidu's Series E of more than €100 million, led by 83North, included €25 million of venture debt from Claret Capital Partners and Silicon Valley Bank. 83North, Prime Ventures, EQT Ventures and Key1 Capital are the notable co-investors in later rounds.
